Our Goal and Why
It is our sincere hope that through your generous donations and the help of our key volunteers and sponsors that we will be able to ensure every child in our county has a gift in hand on Christmas Day. We do what we do to slow and/or prevent socialeconomic impacts that lead many of our youth astray. Never under estimate the power of hope!
Our story
The U.S Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program was established in 1947 by Major Bill Hendricks and his wife. Major Hendricks and members of his Los Angeles Marine unit collected and distributed 5,000 toys to needy children in Los Angeles on Christmas Day in 1947. The seed had been planted and Toys for Tots was born. The following year the United States Marine Corps Reserve adopted the program and has been bringing a smile to kids' faces across the nation since.
Today we are a top tier charity with 97 percent of every dollar donated going directly to those in need. Since the programs inception over over 627 million toys have been delivered to 281 million children.

Rest assured your toys, money, and donations STAY HERE in Jackson County to help our local families. To date we have supported 18,474 children providing 68,287 toys. We support Ashland, Butte Falls, Central Point, Eagle Point, Gold Hill, Jacksonville, Medford, Phoenix, Rogue River, Shady Cove, Talent, Prospect, Ruch, Trail, White City, Wimer, and every child in between.

Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public charity is the fundraising, funding and support organization for the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation was created at the behest of the U. S. Marine Corps and provides support in accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding with the Commander, Marine Forces Reserve, who directs the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.
The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November, and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to children in the community/county that the campaign is conducted in.
